New bindings for Shakespeare items

On the left the booklets before rebinding, two in brown paper covers, one in a blue cloth library binding and the fourth showing that it had been taken from a leather binding sewn on raised bands.

Three other plays warranted full calf bindings. Each had previously been sewn on raised bands as part of larger books, then separated and put into paper covers.

One of the plays had been machine oversewn.

The new, sprinkled calf bindings, were all blind tooled with double lines around the edge of the boards and two had extra sets of lines and corner tools.

Gold lettered leather labels were adhered between the raised bands and decorative pallets gold tooled either either side of the bands.

A paper, colored to give varying tones of blue/green was used for the covers with gold stamped and blind tooled labels on the spines and upper covers.
